Information you provide
When you take the compatibility quiz, you provide your name, birthday, and answers to a short set of personality questions. This information is used only to generate your reading — to calculate your zodiac sign and to personalize the text you receive. We do not require an account, email address, or payment to use the quiz.
Accounts and community content
If you create a Snoomatch account to post or comment in the Stories section, we store a username, a securely hashed password (we never see or store your plain-text password), and — if you choose email sign-up or Google sign-in — an email address used only for account access, never shown publicly. Anonymous ("username-only") accounts don't require or store a real email at all. Any story or comment you post is shown publicly under your username, never your email or real name.
We keep basic account and content data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and posted content removed, contact us using the details below.
Reporting and moderation
If you report a story or comment, that report (including any reason you provide) is visible only to site admins, for the purpose of reviewing the content. We don't share reports with the person you reported.
How your answers are processed
Your quiz answers are sent to our backend (hosted on Supabase) which forwards a summary of them to a third-party writing service to generate your reading. Your answers are not sold, and we do not use them to build an advertising profile of you specifically. A copy of your generated reading is cached in your browser's local storage so that revisiting the same result doesn't require regenerating it — this stays on your device and is not something we can access remotely.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses local storage (a browser technology similar to cookies) to remember your most recent reading so the page loads faster on return visits. This is functional, not tracking-based, storage.
Advertising and third-party vendors
Snoomatch may display advertising served by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks. These vendors may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Snoomatch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
